What is a traditional engagement ceremony?
A traditional Nigerian/ Ghanaian engagement ceremony is a vibrant and colorful cultural celebration that involves traditional music, dances, and theatrics. The ceremony is hosted by an alaga (master of ceremonies) who guides the proceedings.
What time will the event begin?
Cocktail hour will be from 6:00 to 6:30PM.
The event will begin PROMPTLY at 6:30PM. Doors will be closed during the families, bride, and groom's entrances.
What's the dress code & colors?
African formal attire: (Aso ebi & Kente)
Please wear pink!
Can I bring a plus one?
This event is invite only. The venue has very strict policies, so your name will have to be on the list for entrance. There will also be assigned tables, so only enough seats for confirmed guests that RSVP only.
Can I bring my children?
Due to the event space limitations, there are no children under age 18 allowed unless they have been invited.
How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP right here on the website through the RSVP or Events tab. Your email must be on the list in order to RSVP. The RSVP deadline is on March 28th, 2025.
